An opportunity is being offered to shape the future direction of policing in Lancashire.
The Police and Crime Panel, administered by Blackburn with Darwen Council on behalf of Lancashire, needs a new independent member. It was established to scrutinise and support the work of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).
The important role is to assist the panel by providing independent challenge, making sure that the views of the public are heard and also influencing policy decisions.
The role is unpaid though expenses are reimbursed for any costs incurred. There is a comprehensive induction and training programme.
