Kenelm Youth Trust – New Ambassadors

Other

Closing Date:

Kenelm Ambassadors was an initiative launched by the Kenelm Youth Trust last September, led by the parish development workers of BCYS.

It’s first year of operation saw more than 60 young people between the age of 16 and 25 from across the Diocese jump on board to be a Kenelm Ambassador for a year. After going through some training sessions about public speaking, using social media as a tool for evangelisation and other things our Ambassadors were active in their parish and school communities. Speaking at masses and assemblies, recruiting young people to come to events, and advising staff at the Kenelm Youth Trust of ideas they had and things they would lie to see happen in the Church.

It has been a throughly enjoyable and valuable experience for our Ambassadors, and many would like to continue in the role. We are now looking for new young people to take on the title of Kenelm Ambassador from September. Young people who are active in their Church or school community, faith-filled and willing to share that faith with others, good communicators who share the mission of the Kenelm Youth Trust and want young people to feel wanted and beloved as members of the Church and their parish community. Our young people are such a blessing, this initiative hopes to bring out their best qualities and for them to be evangelisers of their peers and to help support the current, and shape the future work of the Kenelm Youth Trust.

Are you a young person willing to accept the challenge? Does the opportunity for some training; to meet and network with other young people; gain access to special events throughout the year with a treat or two to say thank-you along the way sound interesting? Are you a Priest or Deacon, teacher, youth minister, or parishioner who knows a young person who would make a great Kenelm Ambassador? Please get in touch through our website www.bcys.co.uk or email [email protected] to find out more.

What we do
The NUT is the largest organisation representing teachers in England and Wales, the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey and in Service Children's Schools throughout the world. The Union is represented on major national education bodies and makes representations to central Government on all matters affecting teachers and schools. Policy and development work of this nature is carried out mainly at headquarters together with other central support and administrative functions.
